Static /Cyclic Vertical Load Test On Pile As Per IS 2911 Part 4 2013
This test will be carried out as stipulated in IS-2911 (Part IV) 1995. Pile Head – The pile head shall be chipped off till sound concrete is met wherever applicable. The reinforcement shall be cut and head levelled with Plaster of Paris. A bearing plate with a hole shall be placed on the head for the jack to rest.
Cyclic Pile Load test
The cyclic load test helps to estimate how much load is taken up by the end bearing of the pile and how much by skin friction. The main objective of the cyclic load test is to separately determine the point bearing and friction bearing capacities of a pile.
Static Pullout/Lateral Load Test On Pile As Per IS 2911 Part 4 2013
Static Load Tests measure the response of a pile under an applied load and are the most accurate method for determining pile capacities. They can determine the ultimate failure load of a foundation pile and determine its capacity to support the load without excessive or continuous displacement.
Lateral Load Tests on Piles
Horizontal load test on piles. The jack should be placed horizontally, between two piles. The load on the jack shall be the same on both the piles. The load will be applied in increments of 20% of the estimated safe load and at the cut off level.
High Stain/Low Stain Integrity Test on Pile as Per ASTM4945, ASTM5882
Low Strain Impact Integrity Testing is a non-destructive pile testing method for integrity assessments of augured cast-in-place piles, drilled shafts or driven concrete or timber piles. If major defects exist, test results may be interpreted to estimate their magnitude and location. The compressive strength of the specimen is calculated by dividing the maximum load attained during the test by the cross-sectional area of the specimen.
Integrity test of Pile can be used to evaluate the length of pile shaft; received pile length is approximate within a range of due to change in built-up concrete density. The PIT test method cannot evaluate defects present in the bottom 5% to 10% of the pile shaft.
